Raoul Wallenberg Day 2025 | Au Revoir les Enfants
“Every line, every scene, every shot, is composed with mastery. It has to be seen.”
– Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
Eighty-years after the disappearance of Raoul Wallenberg, how does his legacy endure?
Come together for an annual film screening to reflect on the heroic actions of Wallenberg and others like him, who risked themselves to save others during the Holocaust.
A moving tribute to resilience, compassion, and the human spirit, written and directed by Louis Malle, Au Revoir Les Enfants (1987) is a poignant film inspired by Malle’s own childhood experiences. Set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied France, it tells the heartbreaking story of childhood innocence, friendship, and bravery. The film follows the bond between two boys at a French boarding school, one of whom is secretly hiding from Nazi persecution.
Join us to reflect on Wallenberg’s legacy of courage and compassion on this important day of remembrance.
